Advantages of using polished concrete for floors

Do you need a flooring that can withstand heavy traffic and heavy weights? There is a wide range of materials and finishes between to choose, but polished concrete is one of the best options for these cases.

What is polished concrete?

Polished concrete is a floor made of concrete treated to have a surface completely smooth. To achieve this, the concrete slab must be created, but instead of leaving the finish rough, the surface must be sanded and polished.

Disc machines are used diamond able to eliminate all irregularities and you get a surface that looks like concrete, but is completely smooth to the touch. A matte or glossy finish can be obtained, depending on what the customer requires.

Advantages of polished concrete

  • Finish: you get a really cool look. It is a surface that retains the color of the concrete, but thanks to its finish it becomes a much more elegant material. This greatly increases the number of uses it can be used for. It will serve both for large surfaces and for a home.
  • Silent: is a totally silent floor. While on other surfaces annoying noises are generated when walking, in the case of concrete this does not happen.
  • Great resistance: offers excellent results against stress, reaching a resistance of one ton per square centimeter of pressure. It is a great solution for places where there will be heavy loads.
